ARTICLE 37: WHAT IS UNDERSTANDED BY SUBSIDY

     

    For the purposes of this Law (RLCE: Art. 1), it is understood as a subsidy:

  • The financial contribution granted by a foreign government, its public or mixed organizations, its entities, or any regional, public or mixed agency constituted by several countries, directly or indirectly, to a company or branch of production or to a group of companies or branches of production and with that a benefit is granted;
  •  

  • Some form of income or price support and with that a benefit is granted.
  •  

    Subsidies are considered, by way of example, those referred to in Annex I of the Agreement on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures.
