    • ARTICLE 9: AUTHORIZED PLACES FOR THE ENTRY AND EXIT OF MERCHANDISE AND FOR MANEUVERS

     

    For the purposes of article 10 of the Law (LA: Art. 10), are authorized places to perform:

  • The entry or exit of merchandise from national territory: customs, customs sections, international airports, authorized border crossings, ports and railroad terminals that have customs services, and

    •  

  • Maneuvers referred to in the first paragraph of article 10 of the Law (LA: Art. 10):

    •  

  • In maritime and fluvial traffic: the docks, berths and sites for loading and unloading of import or export merchandise that the competent authority indicates in accordance with the applicable legal provisions;

    •  

  • In terrestrial traffic: the warehouses, and other places adjacent to the offices and complementary installations of the customs in question and that the Customs Authority indicates for it according to its infrastructure;

    •  

  • In aerial traffic: airports declared as international by the competent authority, in accordance with the applicable legal provisions, and

    •  

  • In railroad traffic: railways and other places adjacent to the offices and complementary facilities of the customs concerned and that the Customs Authority indicates for this, according to its infrastructure in coordination with other competent authorities.

    •  

    In the case of a fortuitous event, force majeure or duly justified cause, the Customs Authorities may enable, for the duration of the aforementioned circumstances, places of entry, exit or maneuvers other than those indicated in this article, which shall be made known to the other competent authorities and interested parties.
