ARTICLE 87: CALCULATION OF COMPENSATORY FEES AND SAFEGUARD MEASURES
Compensatory fees and safeguard measures may be determined in specific amount or ad-valorem. If they are specific, they will be calculated per unit of measure, and must be settled equivalent to their national currency. If they are ad-valorem, they will be calculated in percentage terms on the customs value of the merchandise.
