ARTICLE  5  GENERAL  DIRECTORS  PARTICIPATING  IN  THE  COCEX  (FOREIGN  TRADE  COMMISSION)

 

They  will  participate  in  the  Commission  --237-Art.  3--  --439-Art.  1--  at  the  level  of  general  directors:

  • For  the  Ministry  --237-Art.  3--  --439-Art.  1--,  the  General  Director  of  Foreign  Trade  (Director  General  de  Comercio  Exterior)  who  will  preside  over  it,  and  exercise  the  vote  that  corresponds  to  the  agency;  a  representative  with  the  position  of  general  director  from    the  Undersecretary  of  Foreign  Trade  (Subsecretaría  de  Comercio  Exterior)  and  a  representative  with  the  position  of  general  director  from    the  Undersecretary  of  Competitiveness  and  Regulations  (Subsecretaría  de  Competitividad  y  Normatividad),  appointed  by  the  corresponding  undersecretary.  The  President  of  the  Commission  at  this  level  will  be  replaced  in  their  absence  by  the  general  director  designated  by  the  Undersecretary  of  Industry  and  Commerce  (Subsecretario  de  Industria  y  Comercio),  and

    •  

  • For  the  other  Ministry  referred  to  in  article  2  of  this  Regulation  --441-Art.  2--,  a  representative  with  the  position  of  general  director  appointed  by  the  corresponding  agency.

    • Likewise,  it  may  request  the  assistance  of  a  public  servant  commissioned  by  the  head  of  the  General  Customs  Administration  (Administración  General  de  Aduanas)  of  the  Service  Tax  Administration  (Servicio  de  Administración  Tributaria)  which  may  request  to  serve  as  an  advisor  to  the  Commission  on  tariff  classification  and  nomenclature.  The  General  Director  of  Foreign  Trade  (Director  General  de  Comercio  Exterior)  of  the  Ministry  shall  appoint  the  Technical  Secretary  of  the  Commission  (Secretario  Técnico  de  la  Comisión  )  at  this  level.
