ARTICLE 156: TEMPORARY IMPORT FOR COMPETITIONS AND SPORTING EVENTS

For the purposes of the provisions of article 106, section III, subsection b) of the Law (LA: Art. 106), in the case of competitions and sporting events, the corresponding Mexican Sports Federation (Federación Deportiva Mexicana) may temporarily import the merchandise inherent for the purpose of the event, including competitive vehicles and vessels, tractor trucks and their trailers, recreational vehicles, medical service equipment and security, its tools and accessories necessary to carry out the event, for which it must submit in advance of the event, the respective promotion (RGCE 2022: Regla 4.2.8), indicating the place and date in which the event will be held and its description, as well as the customs through which the merchandise will enter, attaching a letter of consent issued by the competent sports organization and a list with the description and quantity of merchandise that will be used for the event. The Customs Authority will resolve within fifteen days.
