ARTICLE 24: AUTOMATIC EXTENSION ON THE VALIDITY OF THE PERMIT

Customs may authorize one or more automatic extensions on the original validity of the import permit, provided that the interested party proves that the shipment of the merchandise was made during the period of validity of the same. The extension period will be 30 days if the merchandise arrives by sea or seven days if they enter the country by other means.
