ARTICLE 39: CALCULATION OF THE MARGIN OF PRICE DISCRIMINATION ON SIMILAR MERCHANDISE
In the event that the product under investigation includes merchandise that are not physically equal to each other, the margin of price discrimination will be estimated by type of merchandise, so that the normal value and the export price involved in each calculation correspond to similar goods. As a general rule, the types of merchandise will be defined according to the classification of the products recognized in the accounting information system of each exporting company.
When the margin of price discrimination is calculated by type of merchandise, the margin for the product under investigation shall be determined as the weighted average of all the individual margins that have been estimated. This weighting will be calculated according to the relative share of each type of merchandise in the total exported volume of the product during the investigation period.
