ARTICLE 57: ADJUSTMENT FOR DIFFERENCES IN TAX CHARGES

When the tax charges of merchandise sold in the country of origin is different from that of export merchandise, the prices of internal sales will be equal to the prices of export sales by adjusting the difference between the two tax charges. The adjustable encumbrance will be limited to indirect taxes and import taxes. Indirect taxes may be adjusted both on identical or similar merchandise sold in the country of origin, like the national supplies incorporated therein. Import taxes may only be adjusted in relation to imported supplies incorporated into identical or similar merchandise sold in the country of origin.
