ARTICLE 41: FREE STORAGE PERIODS.

    Duties will be paid for the handling, storage and custody of foreign trade merchandise in deposit with customs in the fiscal precincts, after expiration of the periods indicated below: (LA: Art. 15)

  • For import merchandise, two calendar days, except in the fiscal precincts that are in the customs of maritime traffic, in which case the period will be seven calendar days. (LA: Art. 15)
  •  

  • Merchandise for export or return abroad, fifteen calendar days, except minerals in which case the period will be thirty calendar days.
  •  

    Merchandise for which it has been withdrawn from the export regime, or in which it is not specified for any other cause, will pay the corresponding duty of storage, from the first day they have been deposited in each custom.

     

  • From the day following that in which it is notified that the merchandise that have been embargo or seized are available to interested parties.
  •  

  • Ten calendar days of the one in which they remain in the deposit before customs, in the other cases.
  • The terms referred to in sections I and II of this article shall be counted from the day following that in which the warehouse receives the merchandise.
