ARTICLE 276:

They are obliged to pay the right for use or exploitation of assets of the public domain of the Nation as bodies receiving wastewater discharges, individuals or legal entities who discharge permanently, intermittently or accidentally discharged wastewater into rivers, basins, channels, vessels, marine waters and other deposits or streams of water, as well as those that discharge wastewater into the soil or infill it into the land that is national property or that may contaminate the subsoil or aquifers, in terms of the provisions of this Law.

The payment of right referred to in this article does not exempt those responsible for wastewater discharges from complying with the maximum permissible limits established in the Official Mexican Standards and with the particular conditions of its discharges, in accordance with the National Water Law (Ley de Aguas Nacionales).
