ARTICLE  137  BIS  5:  REQUIREMENTS  FOR  LEGAL  INDIVIDUALS  WHO  PRETEND  THE  IMPORT  OF  USED  VEHICLES

 

Individuals  who  intend  to  carry  out  the  importation  of  vehicles  under  the  terms  of  the  preceding  articles  must  comply  with  the  following:

  • Accredit  as  a  Mexican  citizen  with  the  Birth  Certificate  or  corresponding  naturalization.

    •  

  • Prove  their  residence  in  the  fringe  and  border  regions  referred  to,  six  months  prior  to  the  date  of  importation  of  the  vehicle,  using  any  of  the  official  documents  issued  in  the  name  of  the  interested  party,  where  the  address  is  --303-Regla  1.1.2--  located  in  the  border  region  and  the  fringe  in  question.  --619-Art.  105--

    •  

  • Submit  the  corresponding  import  customs  declaration  (pedimento),  which  must  contain  the  characteristics,  brand,  type,  line,  model  and  serial  number,  so  that  once  the  importation  has  been  completed,  can  prove  their  legal  stay  in  the  country.

    •  

  • Present  at  the  time  of  customs  clearance  together  with  the  respective  customs  documents,  the  proof  that  the  vehicle  to  be  imported  complies  with  the  technical  standards  for  maximum  permissible  emission  of  pollutants  in  their  country  of  origin.
