    • FOURTH TRANSITORY ARTICLE

    On the occasion of the adjustment contemplated in the Fourth and Sixth transitory articles of the Decrees that amended, added and repealed various provisions of the Federal Rights Law (Ley Federal de Derechos), published in the Official Journal of the Federation (Diario Oficial de la Federación) on December 1st, 2004 and December 24, 2007, respectively, and derived from the accumulated inflation of the United States of America, the fees for the services rendered in authorized offices abroad will be updated, as follows:

  • The fees of the rights for services provided in authorized offices abroad fixed in US dollars, with the exception of those established in subsection b) of this article, will be updated from January 1st, 2020 by 34.60% gradually from 2020 to 2023. So that from 2020 to 2022 they will be updated by 10% for each year. In 2023, they will be updated by 4.6%, plus the percentage resulting from dividing the November 2022 Consumer Price Index of the United States of America between the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of June 2019.

    From the year 2024, the aforementioned rights will be updated annually on January 1st of each year, considering the period from the thirteenth month immediately preceding and until the last month prior to that in which the update is made.

     

    For the purposes of the preceding paragraph, the fees will be updated by applying the updated factor resulting from dividing the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of the month immediately preceding the most recent of the period, by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) corresponding to the month prior to the oldest of the period, or, for the rights that they add or undergo modifications in their fee, during the corresponding fiscal year, that of the month prior to that in which the addition or modification came into force.

     

  • The fees for the rights for services provided by authorized offices abroad, contained in sections I, II and III of article 20 (LFD: Art. 20) of the Federal Rights Law (Ley Federal de Derechos), will be updated from January 1st, 2020 by 22% gradually from 2020 to 2023. In such a way that from 2020 to 2022 they will be updated by 6% for each year. In 2023 will be updated by 4% plus the percentage resulting from dividing the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of November 2022 by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of June 2019.

    From the year 2024, the aforementioned rights will be updated annually on January 1st of each year, considering the period from the thirteenth month immediately preceding and until the last month prior to that in which the update is made.
