RULE  3.1.7:  TRANSFER  OF  INFORMATION  FOR  BORDER  CROSSING

For  the  purposes  of  article  34  --14-Art.  34--  of  the  Regulation,  in  the  introduction  of  merchandise  by  terrestrial  traffic,  the  type  of  container  and  motor  transport  vehicle  must  be  declared  in  accordance  with  Appendix  10  --369-Apendice  10--  of  Annex  22.

Likewise,  they  must  present  the  customs  declaration  (pedimento)  or  the  consolidated  notice,  and  the  merchandise  before  the  automated  selection  module  for  clearance,  together  with  the  "List  of  documents"  from  Annex  1  --355-Anexo  1--,  including  in  the  barcode  of  said  format,  the  Carrier  Harmonized  Alphanumeric  Code  (Código  Alfanumérico  Armonizado  del  Transportista)  obtained  in  accordance  with  rule  2.4.4.  --317-Regla  2.4.4--,  both  in  operations  carried  out  with  a  single  customs  declaration  (pedimento)  or  with  the  consolidated  notice  or  in  the  case  of  cargo  consolidation  in  accordance  with  rule  3.1.24.  --320-Art.  3.1.24--

The  provisions  of  this  rule  will  not  be  applicable  to  vehicle  imports,  in  the  case  of  operations  in  which  the  physical  presentation  of  the  merchandise  is  not  required  to  carry  out  customs  clearance,  in  the  operations  of  return  to  national  territory  of  test  prototype  vehicles  or  for  study?s  carried  out  by  companies  in  the  automotive  terminal  or  manufacturing  of  motor  vehicles,  operations  carried  out  by  railway,  as  well  as  in  operations  carried  out  in  accordance  with  rules  3.2.2.  --321-Regla  3.2.2--,  3.2.7.  --321-Regla  3.2.7--  and  3.7.1.  --326-Regla  3.7.1--
