RULE 3.6.7: SPECIFIC PURPOSE FOR THE USE OF THE NOTEBOOK ATA, CLEARANCE PROCEDURE

Merchandise imported temporarily covered by the Notebook ATA will have a specific purpose and will be destined to be re-exported within the period established in rule 3.6.2. (RGCE 2020: Regla 3.6.2), without having undergone any modification or alteration, except for its normal depreciation as a result of its use.

For the purposes of the preceding paragraph, merchandise that is temporarily imported with the Notebook ATA must be presented to customs personnel together with the Notebook ATA for clearance, not being necessary to activate the automated selection mechanism.

In the case of merchandise subject to compliance with non-tariff regulations and restrictions, in matters of animal and plant health, public health, environment and national security, the documents that prove compliance must be attached.

If no irregularities are detected, the customs personnel will deliver the merchandise immediately and certify the corresponding Notebook ATA, according to the customs operation in question.

In the event that surplus or undeclared merchandise or any other irregularity related to the Notebook ATA is detected, the merchandise may be imported in accordance with the procedures provided in the Law.
