RULE  3.6.4:  VALIDITY  OF  THE  NOTEBOOKS  ATA

The  Notebook  ATA  will  be  valid  as  long  as  it  contains  the  data  provided  in  the  Annex  of  the  ATA  Agreement,  in  force  at  the  time  of  the  temporary  importation,  does  not  present  erasures,  corrections,  or  amendments  and  has  been  duly  filled  out  legibly  and  indelibly  in  Spanish,  English  or  French.  If  it  has  been  filled  out  in  a  language  other  than  those  mentioned,  its  corresponding  translation  must  be  attached.

The  validity  period  of  the  Notebook  ATA  will  be  one  year  from  the  date  of  issue.  In  the  case  of  temporarily  imported  merchandise  that  will  exceed  the  validity  period  of  the  Notebook  ATA,  by  virtue  of  the  customs  authority  granting  the  holder  the  same  extension  period  to  re-export  the  merchandise  covered  by  said  Notebook,  the  importer  may  present  a  substitute  Notebook  ATA  or  the  revalidation  of  the  initial  Notebook  ATA,  before  the  customs  personnel  indicated  in  rule  3.6.2.  --325-Regla  3.6.2--,  for  its  corresponding  certification.

After  the  issuance  of  the  Notebook  ATA,  no  merchandise  may  be  added  to  the  list  of  merchandise  listed  on  the  back  of  the  Notebook  cover,  or  to  the  continuation  sheets  attached  to  it.

The  possession,  transport  and  handling  of  the  merchandise  must  be  protected  at  all  times  with  the  original,  or  in  the  case  of  re-export  in  several  shipments,  with  a  simple  copy  of  the  Notebook  ATA.

The  Notebook  ATA  that  have  expired  must  be  sent  by  the  owner  to  the  issuing  association.
