ARTICLE 80: CONSERVATION OF THE CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN IN IMPORTS UNDER PREFERENTIAL TARIFF TREATMENT
For the purposes of the provisions of article 59, section II of the Law (LA: Art. 59), in the case of the importation of merchandise under preferential tariff treatment under an international treaty in which Mexico is a part of, the importer shall keep the original of the valid certificate of origin that covers the imported merchandise, as well as the other documents that in the international treaties establishes to obtain preferential tariff treatment, except when said documents had been issued to several importers, in which case, the importers must keep a copy of them.
