ARTICLE 6: FACULTIES OF THE FOREIGN TRADE COMMISSION
The Foreign Trade Commission (Comisión de Comercio Exterior) (LCE: Art. 3) (RLCE: Art. 1) will be an obligatory consultation body of the dependencies and entities of the Federal Public Administration (Administración Pública Federal) (RLCE: Art. 2) (RLCE: Art. 12) in relation to the matters referred to in sections I to V of article 4 of this Law (LCE: Art. 4) (RLCE: Art. 1). This Commission will be responsible for issuing an opinion on foreign trade matters (RLCE: Art. 9) in accordance with the provisions of this Law. (RLCE: Art. 13)
Likewise, the dependencies and entities of the Federal Public Administration (Administración Pública Federal) shall make public, in terms of the Federal Law of Transparency and Access to Government Public Information (Ley Federal de Transparencia y Acceso a la Información Pública Gubernamental) and the Federal Law of Administrative Procedure (Ley Federal de Procedimiento Administrativo), the preliminary plans provisions derived from this Law. Business organizations recognized by the Law of Chambers and their Confederations in their nature of bodies of public interest, as well as associations, institutions and groupings that coordinate them in front of the Federal Government, that represent at national level the interests of the industrial, commercial, agricultural, of services and customs of the country unions, as well as any other interested party, may issue an opinion on the aforementioned drafts.
The Commission will review, sua sponte or at the request of the mentioned bodies in the preceding paragraph, the regulatory and restriction measures to foreign trade that are in force, in order to recommend the modifications that may take place. May also hold public hearings (LCE: Art. 81) with those interested.
