    • ARTICLE 11: FOREIGNERS WHO DO NOT PAY THE RIGHTS FOR THE CONDITIONS OF STAY

     

    The rights indicated in article 8 will not be paid of this Law (LFD: Art. 8) when foreigners remain in the national territory under the following conditions of stay:

  • Temporary Student Resident, and Temporary Resident when authorized under cooperation or educational exchange, cultural, and scientific agreements.

    •  

  • Visitors without permission to perform paid activities that are located in any of the following cases:

    •  

  • Enter the national territory by land, as long as their stay in the country does not exceed seven days. In case that period is exceeded the right will be paid at the time of leaving the national territory.

    •  

  • Passengers or crew members aboard international cruise ships that disembark to visit the country in the Mexican ports that form part of the tourist cruise and board the same ship to continue their journey, as long as they do not exceed twenty-one days, counted from the first arrival to national territory.

    •  

  • Crew members entering the country on board any type of vessel other than the one provided in the previous paragraph and disembarking in Mexican ports and boarding the same vessel to continue their journey, provided they do not exceed fifteen days, counted from of the first arrival to national territory.

    •  

  • Members of the active crew entering the country aboard the aircraft of the international aerial transport service of passengers, as long as their stay in the country does not exceed seven days.

    •  

  • When authorized under cooperation or educational exchange, cultural, and scientific agreements.
