ARTICLE 209: FUNCTIONS OF THE SERVICE TAX ADMINISTRATION ADVISORY BOARD
The Advisory Board will have the following functions:
Advise and give opinion to the Service Tax Administration (Servicio de Administración Tributaria) (RLA: Art. 1) through the Customs Authorities and competent administrative units, regarding the issuance of general policies, procedures and criteria regarding the assignment, donation and destruction of foreign trade goods that are the property of the federal tax authorities and those that may provide, that are not transferable to the Property Administration and Disposal Service (Servicio de Administración y Enajenación de Bienes);
Know the semi-annual report of goods donated and destroyed by Customs Authorities (RLA: Art. 211), as well as the monthly report regarding the allocations of Merchandise for the use of the Service Tax Administration (Servicio de Administración Tributaria) itself, or for other agencies and entities of the Federal Public Administration (Administración Pública Federal), the state productive companies, their subsidiaries or affiliates, federative entities, and municipalities, as well as the Legislative and Judicial Powers of the Federation, and
The others that are determined through the manual determining the performance and operation of the Advisory Board.
The Executive Secretary of the Advisory Board must make the announcements for the sessions; integrate the files of the matters that will be submitted to the Advisory Council for consideration; follow up and inform the Advisory Council about the degree of progress and compliance with approved agreements; receive from the Service Tax Administration (Servicio de Administración Tributaria) the monthly reports of the assignments made in the terms of the fourth paragraph of article 145 of the Law (LA: Art. 145) and make them known to the members of the Advisory Council (RLA: Art. 207), and designate a Technical Secretary for the memorandum of the sessions to be held.
