RULE 1.2.3: PRESENTATION OF DOCUMENTS BEFORE CUSTOMS BY MAILBOX OR BY CERTIFIED MAIL

    The presentation of promotions that in the terms of this Resolution must be made before customs, will be made through the mailbox for procedures that are located in each customs, from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., not being applicable for these purposes what is stated in rule 2.1.1. (RGCE 2020: Regla 2.2.1) and Annex 4 (RGCE 2020: Anexo 4), relating to customs clearance and the procedures that it entails. In the case of operations in which, in accordance with this Resolution, the physical presentation of the merchandise to customs is not required, the documentation must be presented to the modules assigned by each custom for such purposes.

    In the case of notices that are presented to Deconcentrated Administration of Foreign Trade Audit (Administración Desconcentrada de Auditoría de Comercio Exterior), they may be sent by certified mail with acknowledgment of receipt, provided that the shipment is made from the place where the tax address of the interested party is registered. In these cases, the date of presentation of the respective document will be the date on which it is deposited at the post office.

    For the purposes of the preceding paragraph, the post office will be understood to be post offices of the Mexican Postal Service (Servicio Postal Mexicano).
